Extends Many Additional Services Of The Host
Teleniumip System To The Off-Premise Location
TeleniumIP phones can be placed virtually anywhere
with a broadband connection for fully functional
desktop extensions of the host TeleniumIP system.
For those users that need more than an IP phone
extension, the Remote Services Gateway (RSGM)
extends many additional services of the host
TeleniumIP system to the off-premise location.
Gain a Second Analog System Extension
The RSGM has one analog CO port and one SLT
connection that when enabled, provides for the use of
a second analog device at the remote site. This
feature is useful for applications such as Faxing,
Credit Card validations, or even a second extension of
the phone system.
Network Failover
When the network connection to a standalone
TeleniumIP phone is lost, the RSGM can automatically
route outbound calls from the IP phone to the PSTN
(Public Switched Telephone Network).
Power Loss Contingency
In a power loss situation, the IP phone is no
longer functional. When an RSGM is in place, an analog
phone connected to the RSGM will still work via the
PSTN.
Need a Router?
The RSGM can also act as a DHCP server at the
remote site for managing network traffic. It can
assign private IP addresses to internal clients such
as personal computers for simplified network
administration and increased security.
Flexibility for Messages On Hold
A message-on-hold port on the RSGM allows
remote users to play their own Messages On Hold for
their callers placed on hold. This can reduce load on
the IP network if needed.
Support for Alarms and Doorbells, and Gate
Openers
The RSGM has two dry relay contacts to
support these communications functions at the remote
site.
LAN Power for the TeleniumIP
Phone
The RSGM eliminates the need for a separate
power supply for the TeleniumIP phone, as power is
supplied through the Ethernet port on the RSGM.
The RSGM provides the following hardware
resources:
- One WAN connection (RJ-45: 10/100
Ethernet port) – Auto MDI/MDIX switching
- One PC connection port (RJ-45:
10/100 Ethernet port)
- One IP phone connection port
(RJ-45: 10/100 Ethernet port) – Power Over Ethernet
- One analog CO port (RJ-11)
- One analog SLT port
- One Alarm/Doorbell contact
- Two dry relay contacts
- One local Message on Hold Port
- One RS232 connector for
management
